About Daniel

Small by design.
Serious about your business.

I'm a Toronto CPA who works primarily with incorporated business owners. I began my career in public accounting at both mid-sized and national firms before establishing my own practice in 2015.

Since then, I have helped business owners manage corporate year-ends, tax planning, bookkeeping, and SR&ED claims. My approach is personal and straightforward: understand the business first, explain the options clearly, and follow through on the details.

How I work

Understand the
business first.

I take the time to understand how each client's business operates, how the owner is paid, and what they are trying to accomplish. That context leads to better tax planning, cleaner financial records, and advice that is useful throughout the year.

Q1
What decisions need to be made before year-end?
Q2
Is the owner's compensation still appropriate?
Q3
Could the business qualify for SR&ED?

↳ These are the kinds of questions that turn accounting from a filing exercise into practical business advice.

01

Know the businessStart with context

Financial statements and tax returns are more useful when your accountant understands how the company earns money, how the owner is paid, and where the business is heading.

02

Look ahead

Some of the most important tax decisions need to be made before year-end. I help clients consider their options early, so there is still time to make informed decisions.

03

Stay accessible

Clients deal directly with me for advice and important decisions, supported by a small remote team for accounting, tax, and bookkeeping work.

Outside the office

On the run.

Outside work, I spend much of my time running on the streets and trails of the GTA. It gives me time to think clearly and provides a good counterbalance to the detail-focused nature of accounting.
